RDP - Remote Desktop Protocol

RDP stands for Remote Desktop Protocol. It allows to use remote desktop functionality in Windows. It uses both TCP and UDP port 3389.
It is often used by IT administrators and tech support people to remotely login to those systems.

If that port is publicly accessible, then it could be a security risk.
