If early computers took up a lot of space, then modern computers don't. You may already have a smart phone or thinking to get one. Smart phones are small factor and can do a lot of functionality that computers can do. It is possible to check email using smart phone, watch videos, play video games, solve puzzles, edit documents. This list can be expanded.

Smart phones unlike first computers fit in a pocket, and have probably a lot more processing power than early computers did.
