SMS communication

SMS is the abbreviation for "short message service". SMS is a popular way to send short text messages via mobile phones. Short messages have upper bound of how long a single text message can be. This limit is 160 characters. To shorten text messages to fit within this text limit and to type these messages quicker, abbreviation can be used. For example text "brb" is translated as "be right back".
