Important things everyone can do to enhance cybersecurity

There are a lot of people on the Internet who try to use potential security issues.

I will list a few measures that can be done to enhance information security:

1. Using strong passwords. Such passwords need not be dictionary word or commonly used passwords, because those are easy to break. Strong password means using alphanumeric characters, upper and lower case alpha characters and special characters and special characters, and the password needs to be long..

4. Be vigilant when visiting web sites, some of such web sites can be used to collect personal information to send further spam email messages, or even more harmful - collect payment information. A person may think that a real purchase was made, but in reality such payment information can be used elsewhere, and a person may experience financial hardship.

5. A person needs to be also vigilant when using open Wi-Fi networks, open Wi-Fi networks can be used to capture sensitive information.

6. A person needs to be also vigilant when downloading and installing software. Software needs to be downloaded from well trusted web sites, otherwise such software may contain harmful code.

7. A person will also need to install software updates. Some software updates resolve issues running software, but some updates resolve security related issues.
