A keylogger

A keylogger is a type of computer malware that records what a person types, some keyloggers also can take screenshots, later this information is send to the attacker.

A keylogger is dangerous because private personal information can be exposed to the attacker. For example a password to online bank account can be exposed to attackers, if it is known then you may end up with $0 or even negative balance in the bank account.
