Dedicated server

​Dedicated server is a server which hardware is not shared with other users. Opposite of dedicated server is a server that shared between multiple users.

Dedicated web hosting is more expensive than splitting that hardware into multiple virtual machines and then offer such resources separately.

Dedicated server can also be in the local network and not exposed to Internet users.
