Sending private information in the Internet

There couple of principles a person needs to follow when private information is submitted over the internet.

First principle is that a website a person uses needs to be trustworthy.

Second principle is that data which transmitted needs to be encrypted. Even if this traffic is intercepted, the data will not make sense.
