Installing software updates

Software updates fix issues found in that software, some of these issues are critical and some are less important, but nevertheless may become a headache for a person that runs that software.

It is a good idea periodically check for software updates and install them.

Moreover a personal computer may check for updates periodically.

To manage a large fleet of computers updating individual computers may become a nightmare. There are software products that allow for patch management of multiple computers.
