Alcubierre drive - traveling faster than light

With traditional engines the speed is limited to speed of light. There is famous Einstein’s formula of E = mc^2. Where E is energy needed.

This limitation tried to overcome theoretical physicists Miguel Alcubierre. Instead of engine to move a spaceship, is it possible to adjust medium in way that maximum speed will exceed speed of light?
